*ASSOCIATE DIPLOMA IN CHRISTIAN MINISTRY*

The course can be taken on a stand-alone basis or as a precursor to the Diploma in Christian Ministry. It consists of 10 courses and is designed to provide basic training for ministry. This will enable the student to know main doctrines of the Christian faith and fundamental modules that would prepare you for Christian ministry.

Our simple approach to teaching gradually eases students into understanding basic theological terms. You don’t need to have a religious background or formal theological training to enrol in this programme.

The course helps the learner to be equipped with tools required to lead a church or Christian organisation. The ten courses are carefully selected to provide students with a good background to grow or start a ministry.

There is flexibility however, for modules to be delivered at different frequencies depending on the cohorts. For example, some cohorts complete the course within 6 to 9 months by opting to increase their attendance frequency.

DIPLOMA IN CHRISTIAN MINISTRY

The course is designed to provide additional training to that obtained at the Associate Diploma in Christian Ministry level. It comprises of the ten modules at the Associate Diploma level, nine additional taught modules, and a practical placement module. The aim is to provide some level of theological reflections and to deepen engagement with the major disciplines of theology, ministry and mission.

Students are required to complete mandatory, one-month practical attachment with any Bible believing church or Christian organisation where they will put their knowledge to practical use. Placements are credit-bearing and count towards the final award.

The modules are very exciting and will stimulate your desire to know more about your Christian faith and Christian ministry.

COURSE DURATION

10 modules designed to run on a module-per-month basis, and a practical placement all for completion within 1 year.

The course provides vocational and practical training including Biblical study, placements and involvement in prayer and devotions at the college at a level designed to stretch students who want to acquire deeper knowledge of ministry.

Assessment is by a variety of methods including reading reflections, group work, examinations and essays. Students are assessed at the end of each semester through examination or course work.

Our Ministry work with the Needy is dynamic and diversified as we try to respond to specific needs of those who are forcibly displaced.

When there is an emergency, such as the current situation in Homes/ Families or the recent events in National, we liaise with foodbanks, clothes banks, toddlers’ banks, and other agencies to jointly provide for what is needed.

Food, clothes, toys and shelter are very important necessities preserving the dignity of people. However, how can we best respond to the spiritual needs of the community, Nations and domestic violence? In the economy of solidarity and support, we have created a Prayerbank.

Our WGM Prayerbank aims to offer a personalised space for spiritual healing and comfort for nations, revival, and domestic violence. It allows for a space where prayers are offered and received.

We hope that it will be comforting for newcomers, whose home is no more and whose future feels so uncertain, to find rest in a prayer that someone has written for them. We also think that it will be wonderful for someone with a prayer to give to provide a space for the prayer to be found.

The Prayerbank might also be very helpful in times of tension and discouragement for those in our parishes working with refugees and the marginalised. It will remind us that we are not alone.
